Next Year’s Cabela’s National Walleye Tour Includes Events On Devils Lake, Lake Of The Woods

For those of you who follow professional walleye tournaments, Devils Lake and Lake of the Woods both are on the calendar for next year’s Cabela’s National Walleye Tour circuit.

The NWT event on Devils Lake is set for July 26-27, 2018, with Lake of the Woods hosting the championship Sept. 5-7, 2018.

The 2018 NWT season kicks off May 10-11 on the Mississippi River in Red Wing, Minn., followed by June 14-15 on Lake Huron’s Saginaw Bay out of Bay City, Mich.

On the immediate horizon, Lake of the Woods is host site for the Minnesota Tournament Trail Championship on Thursday and Friday. Tournament headquarters are at Border View Lodge, with weigh-ins beginning at 3 p.m. daily.

Also beginning Thursday, Cass Lake is the host site for the Cabela’s Masters Walleye Circuit 2017 World Walleye Championship. Stony Point Resort just off U.S. Highway 2 is host site, with teams departing at 7 a.m. and weigh-ins beginning at 3 p.m. The MWC championship wraps up Saturday.
